On the economy:

Asked if he was concerned the Fed would raise interest rates, POTUS said rate should be lowered. He praised Kevin Warsh as “fantastic” but said he has to deal with a “political” board.

“He wants to do the right thing,” Trump said about Warsh.

“Rates should be lowered. This country could be at 8 percent, 9 percent, 10 percent, 12 percent GDP,” the president said. “We should have the lowest interest rate in the world.”

On China:

Asked if China was stealing from U.S. AI companies, the president said: “they’re looking at us and we’re looking at them.”

“We are leading now,” POTUS said, “and we’re going to keep it that way.”
