He said talks with Iran begin tomorrow.

On why he’s intervening with the yen: “To support the Japanese currency. Because we have a good relationship with Japan. We're very strong, very, very strong financially. … Japan's been very good to us, with the exception, of course, of Pearl Harbor.”

On allegations against Max Miller: “I'm gonna look at it. I mean, so far, it's accusations. I'll be looking at.”

He said he’s decided on a punishment for Canada for the wildfire smoke, but would not say what it was.

On Clayton as DNI: “I wanted to do what he wants. He was an outstanding person.”

Asked if the FBI should get involved with the Nancy Guthrie investigation: “Well, they are involved, to an extent, but as you know, the local community really runs those things. Some people haven't liked the way the local communities run it. They haven't liked the way the sheriffs run it. … we're there any time they need us. It's a terrible thing.
