In-town pool report #3 - Oval Office

The pool entered the Oval Office at 1:43PM.

President Trump is seated at the Resolute Desk. Standing behind him are Secretary Pete Hegseth and Jennifer Hegseth, who Trump said will chair the new commission for military spouses and families. General Dan Caine is standing to the president’s left. Eighteen military wives are also surrounding the president.

Trump said the war in Iran was “working out well, very, very well,” before introducing Jennifer Hegseth, who talked about the new commission.

Secretary Hegseth said the commission would be “full speed ahead” to address quality of life issues for service members.

General Caine said families were the “foundation” of military readiness.

The president invited the military spouses to speak, including the executive director of the new commission. Your pooler has asked for a list of commission members/EO signing attendees.

President Trump signed the EO at 1:57PM. He handed the envelope to Jennifer Hegseth. Secretary Hegseth kissed her on the cheek.
