Out-of-town pool report #5/leaving Trump National

The motorcade driving POTUS left Trump National’s entrance at 8:23 pm Pacific time, and snaked the few hundred yards to Marine One. Your pooler could not see POTUS emerge from the motorcade or board M1. The helicopter lifted off at 8:29 pm.

Pool was brought back to the club around 7:40 pm and has been holding back near the clock I referenced in pool report #4. On our way back in, pool passed a group of about two dozen protesters outside the club, one holding a sign saying “End Operation Epstein Fury.”

There is a very heavy security presence visible all around, including two vessels just off the coast and three countersnipers stationed at the base of a large flagpole with the American flag waving in the breeze.

Pool is rushing to our helo, which hasn’t arrived yet to get us. Several Trump staff and advisers also standing waiting, including the president’s top fundraiser, Meredith O’Rourke. Will send more from LAX.
