WH out-of-town pool report #8 Trump arrives, games beginning

Trump entered the Patriot Games gym at 6 pm ET, accompanied by Pat Mcafee.

The crowd gave a huge applause as they entered. “He’s got that Michael Jordan glow,” one spectator near me said.

Trump stood at the center of the stage during the national anthem, saluting the flag. He’s now taken his seat next to McAfee, amongst the kids.

One woman in the crowd yelled, “Hi Donald!”

Another man yelled,” We love you, Mr. President!”

Another older gentleman said, “2028!” That drew a grin from the president.

A fellow reporter — John Bennett of Roll Call — tells me American Ninja Warrior is a better comp for the setup than American Gladiators.

The games are about to begin.
