Pool Report #5: FLOTUS receives hat/event details

The first lady accepted a commemorative hat from a group of race card drivers midway through the event. She did not put it on, handing it to a White House aide afterwards.

Presenting the helmet to first lady Melania Trump, per announcer Doug Boles: Scott Dixon, Alexander Rossi, Graham Rayhall, Scott McLaughlin

Roger Penske also spoke. The event should have aired live, including the presentation of a very large life-sized check.

POTUS did not deliver remarks.

The event lasted about 18 minutes start to finish, and began about 10 minutes early with no 2 minute warning offered to press.
