Out of Town Pool Report #8 Inside the Space Center

The pool walked through a warehouse-like space, passing various spacecraft with logos for companies including Boeing and SpaceX.

We are now in an area divided from the rest of the room with blue curtains, where astronauts in jumpsuits are assembled on a stage. Signs flanking the lectern say, "NASA: Golden Age of Space Exploration." There is a mockup of the Orion spacecraft that the Artemis II crew used for training. On the other side, there are five different space suits.

Screens on either side of the stage played a video promoting the Artemis II mission, ending with a rocket takeoff.

The ceremony should be streamed on the usual White House channels. We are still waiting for POTUS's arrival.
