Out of Town Pool Report #13 Mission Control

Trump gave brief remarks after entering the room, where he said members of Congress have "been calling" because they want to have the new space academy in their states.

Trump greeted some NASA staff and family of some of the astronauts on the International Space Center. He then picked up a black phone and called the crew on the International Space Center. POTUS told them about his plans for the space academy. He told the astronauts they had "amazing courage."

"I would not want to do it," he said.

A large screen at the front of the room streamed video of the astronauts on the station. He then asked the family members to greet the astronauts.

"They want to say hello ... Who needs Trump?"

He also complimented one of the astronauts on his "beautiful mustache."

POTUS said he would see the astronauts in the Oval Office. After the call was completed, they began doing flips in zero gravity.

Isaacman then presented POTUS with a plaque that said, "America has returned." POTUS signed it.

He said going back to his plane is "not very exciting by comparison."

He exited the room at 12:41. We're now moving back to vans.
