Travel Report 6 - National Anthems and Inspection of Guard

President Trump walked out of the residence to the end of the red carpet and saluted as the national anthem for the US was played by the Irish military band, followed by the Irish national anthem.

Trump was then invited to inspect the Guard of Honor, and walked up and down two rows of men in olive green military uniforms with guns.

Irish President Connolly watched from the portico, and once the inspection ended she led the president over to the Irish delegation standing on the right side of the residence. Then Monica Crowley introduced Connolly to the American delegation along with Trump.

Trump went back inside at 9:34a with Connolly, where they will have a private, closed press courtesy call meeting in the State Dining Room.

The press and some White House aides are now waiting outside the residence, and the neatly lined up soldiers are marching away from the residence.
