Ireland’s own Shane Lowry sunk a birdie putt to win the Irish Open and the crowd around the 18th green erupted in cheers.
President Trump watched from the patio of his VIP suite overlooking the green with Eric Trump, Don Jr, Bettina Anderson, Dan Scavino, Walt Nauta and some of the president’s grandchildren.
US Amb Walsh and Patrick Reed were also seen in Trump’s box.
The crowd at times called for a wave from the president and sang “Ole!” when Lowry won.
The Taoiseach is here. We’re now waiting for the trophy presentation to begin from the 18th green. Trump will be taking part in the ceremony.
