In-town pool report #1

Greetings fellow scribblers from the brisk and sunny driveway of the White House, where Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni is expected soon for a scheduled noon arrival.

We have a lunch lid until 11:45 a.m.

At 10:40 a.m. the hallway outside upper press is bustling with WH staff setting the Cabinet Room for a seated lunch between the President, the Vice President, other American officials and the Italian delegation, scheduled for 12:05 a.m. (Your pooler has requested a full list of diners.) They were plating a first course that involved artichokes and what appeared to be grilled radicchio.

A 1:05 p.m. Oval Office bilat is on the schedule following the meal.
