The rally is inside an airport hangar with scores of supporters in both the audience and in the stands behind and to the sides of the stage, where VPOTUS will speak momentarily. There are big navy blue signs that say “RESTORING COMMON SENSE” and “DEFEND OUR FUTURE” with USA and Montana flags.
Interior Secretary Burgum began speaking at 11:55 a.m. MT ahead of VPOTUS remarks. He gave shoutouts to several members in the audience, including Sen. Steve Daines, R-Mont.
"Montana matters," Burgum said. "These races matter in Montana. They matter so much, and they matter in the country. They matter in the world, but they matter in Montana."
