Good evening, at 9:39p Air Force One landed at JBA. When we took off in Shannon, President Trump was called over by an aide to say goodbye to family who were traveling separately. Trump gave hugs and kisses to his family — Eric and Lara and kids, and Don and Bettina and kids. The pool was asked to go ahead and board as this was happening, but stayed back to catch the president going up the steps of the plane. At 5:3…

Trump walked over to the a gaggle with the press. He began talking about Lowry’s win at the Irish Open. He asked if his low approval ratings in Ireland are incorrect he said he thinks the polls are fake. When asked if he’s going to follow through with…

The ceremony began with the head of DP World Tour Guy Kinnings thanking President Trump for being at the tournament and supporting golf, and Eric Trump for the condition of the Doonbeg course. Ireland’s own Shane Lowry sunk a birdie putt to win the Irish Open and the crowd around the 18th green erupted in cheers. President Trump watched from the patio of his VIP suite overlooking the green with Eric Trump, Don Jr, Bettina Anderson, Dan Scavino, Walt Nauta and some of the president’s grandchildren. US Amb Walsh and Patrick Reed were also seen in Trump’s box. The crowd at times called for a wave from the pr…

President Trump arrived at the first tee box of Doonbeg at 1:59p and was greeted by applause from the gallery. He walked over from the hotel, flanked by secret service. But those cheers were dwarfed by the raucous applause that came when Shane Lowry, currently in the lead, walked up to the tee. Trump, wearing a navy suit and white USA hat, shook Lowry’s hand and stood off to the side with his son, Eric Trump. The fi…

A White House official confirmed that Trump had dinner Saturday night with some of the players at the hotel. We do not yet have an update on when we will see Trump at the tournament toda…

The White House called a lid. We did not see President Trump in person here at Doonbeg but he was shown on television and seen by photographers watching the tournament from the 18th green with his family, aides and at one point Brooks Koepka. At this moment, Shane Lowry remains in the lead. Pool is heading 40 minutes north to our hotel and we pick back up with POTUS tomorrow morning. Hook ‘em horns! Meridith McGraw…

Right at 3p President Trump made a dramatic landing on Marine One on the shoulder of his Doonbeg golf course. Hundreds of spectators lined the dunes of the course to catch a glimpse of the landing of the two chinooks and the president’s chopper. It appears play was suspended for the arrivals and the fans were watching the long motorcade that is snaked along the side of the course. Our press van was next to the 3rd h…

Air Force One did some sharp aerial turns as we did a fly over Doonbeg and the Irish Open on our way to Shannon Airport. (Tried attaching a photo of the fly over but not having luck - please reach out if you’re interested). It was a short but pretty flight over the green Irish countryside and along the coastline. We landed at Shannon Airport at 2:01p. Airplane TVs were tuned to Fox News, which was airing footage of…

President Trump walked out to Lee Greenwood at 11:50a and stood in place on stage as the song finished and the room took photos. At 10:00a President Trump shook hands with President Connolly and stepped outside the “Irish White House.” Unfortunately the pool was ushered to vans in advance so did not witness a quick exchange with reporters outside the residence. He stopped on the red carpet to answer a shouted question about concerns about Saudi Arabia and the Strait of Hormuz, and said “it will all work out fine.” He was then asked about Iris…
